By creating an account, posting a listing, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your province, to create an account or post a listing. By using the Platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide during registration is accurate and current.
2. Your Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Posting Policy.
3. Listings and Content
When you post a listing, you are solely responsible for its accuracy, legality, and content. By submitting a listing, you grant uuStuff Classifieds a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the Platform for the purpose of operating the service.
All listings are subject to review and must comply with our Posting Policy. We reserve the right to reject, edit, or remove any listing at our discretion, without prior notice.
4. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
- Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's account or to the Platform's systems
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access or extract data from the Platform without permission
- Circumvent or interfere with the Platform's moderation or security features
5. Transactions Between Users
uuStuff Classifieds is a platform that connects buyers and sellers — we are not a party to any transaction between users. We do not verify the identity of users, inspect items listed, guarantee the accuracy of any listing, or handle payments between parties. Any transaction, meeting, or exchange arranged through the Platform is solely between the buyer and seller, at their own risk.
We strongly recommend meeting in safe, public locations, inspecting items in person before payment, and never sending money in advance to someone you haven't met.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, uuStuff Classifieds shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to losses resulting from transactions with other users, inaccurate listings, or account suspension.
8. Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, our Posting Policy, or applicable law.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
